Greg Gunther

Greg Gunther is a Director and Co-Founder of Your Business Momentum. He is an accomplished author, advisor, and speaker who knows first-hand the elation of business success and the desperation of failure. As a business advisor, it’s Greg’s experience as a business owner that put him in the position to be able to help small and medium business leaders and owners get back their time and freedom, which enables them to achieve real results. His approach is built from over 30 years of real-world experience to help business leaders and owners regain control of their role in their business, their life, and their results.

A business mentor and advisor who’s been there

Greg’s journey has been far from an overnight success, but it has given him the background experience to help business leaders and owners fast-track their own success.

Greg’s entrepreneurial spirit was ignited from a young age. Passionate to emulate his father’s legacy, he became a founding member of the Dalby Agricultural College before building out the largest and most lucrative region for manufacturing corporation, Incitec.

Greg understands that an entrepreneur's greatest fear is failure. Having experienced many of his own personal and professional ups and downs, successes, and failures, Greg has learned there is always a solution to every problem. This is an incredible weight of pressure, and he is so passionate about removing this fear. Greg recognises this better than most - as many years ago he did fail.

Greg was determined that the failure of his first business venture would not define him. He invested in a growing financial services firm and within three years he expanded his territory from zero to 200 clients and resulted in a very successful sale.

Driven for more, Greg procured his licence. He took on a partner, established Gunther Doyle Financial Planning and in less than six years merged with two other companies to create the largest privately-owned financial planning firm in Australia with $5M in revenue.

His dream, though, was to help other business leaders and owners create businesses that didn't rely on them, just as he had done for himself in his financial services business. So, in 2006, he established Greg Gunther & Associates offering advisory services to business owners.

In 2013, former colleague, Joshna Daya, joined Greg’s firm. Within two years the pair joined forces, rebranding the business to Your Business Momentum—a premium professional services firm helping clients break free from the daily grind. In addition, Greg became the Co-Founder and Director of The Podiatry Hive, working with podiatry practitioners to build more profitable and effectively managed practices.

In 2013, former colleague, Joshna Daya, joined Greg’s firm. Within two years the pair joined forces, rebranding the business to Your Business Momentum—a premium professional services firm helping clients break free from the daily grind. In addition, Greg became the Co-Founder and Director of The Podiatry Hive, working with podiatry practitioners to build more profitable and effectively managed practices.

In his over 30 years of working with small businesses, the three key issues he finds facing business owners are:

• The brutal truth of knowing how my business is really performing

Since then, he and Joshna have developed business programs and services specifically to:

• Provide clarity on what needs to be done and the resources we need to do it with
• Get very clear on the metrics we need to measure and monitor regularly
• Have the systems and processes needed that provide complete business reliability

After years of helping business leaders and owners succeed, Greg co-authored a book, Feet First, that inspires and empowers small business owners to not only dream big but to successfully achieve their dreams.

Now Greg has been advising and supporting organisations spanning across 20+ industries. Adding to the knowledge gained from working with businesses over the last three decades, Greg’s role has now grown to become a certified SYSTEMologist® adding Momentum Systems Service in its growing range of business services.
